The football player statistics templates are used to create pre-formatted table headers for player appearances and goals scored. These templates also auto-select some cup competition names. The actual appearance values are added using basic wikitable code as shown.

• {{Football player statistics 1|NN}} gives the top table labels. The two variables relate to whether you want to enter League Cup and Continental Cup player statistics as well. YN would show League Cup only, NY would show Continental Cup only, YY would show both and NN would show none.
• {{Football player statistics 2|ENG|NN}} is the league club statistic element. The 3 letter فهرست کدهای فیفا of the league must be entered here, it provides the title for the cup competitions and links to the correct articles (i.e. by entering ENG (England), the cup field title becomes جام حذفی فوتبال انگلستان). The cup variables should be the same as above.
• |xxxx–xx||Club||League||m||n||m||n||m||n is the club statistic entry line.

xxxx-xx allows you to enter the season in which these statistics were made (e.g. 1901-02), this is a free text field so you can also wikilink this if required (e.g. 1901-02).

Club is where you enter the club that the person was playing for.

League is where you enter the league that they were playing in for that season

m is where you enter how many matches they played in that particular competition

n is where you enter the number of goals they scored

1 is the amount of countries this player has played in. If this is 2 or more than each other country must be added with {{Football player statistics 4}}.

ENG is the FIFA country code

m is the total number of matches this player has played in all seasons.

n is the total number of goals this player has scored in all seasons.

• {{Football player statistics 5}}m||n||m||n||m||n are the players career totals.
• {{Football player statistics end}} completes the table.
